Allocation of seats equivalent to PR votes made public

 The Election Commission has made public the final vote count under the proportional representatives for the election to House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly held on November 20. Seven political parties have been able to be the national political parties by exceeding the threshold- at least three percent of total valid votes cast.

As per the result, the political parties secured a total of 92,71,712 votes under the HoR. Out of this, UML got 30.69 percent votes (34 seats), while Nepali Congress stood second with 29.29 percent (32 seats), and CPN (Maoist Centre) 12.68 percent (14 seats).

Similarly, Rastriya Swatantra Party acquired 12.19 percent (13 seats), Rastriya Prajatantra Party 6.35 percent (7 seats), Janata Samajbadi Party 4.54 percent (5 seats) and Janamat Party 4.26 percent (5 seats).

The Election Commission also distributed the seats to political parties as per their votes garnered in all seven provinces.

In Province no. 1, the CPN (UML) got 15 seats, while Nepali Congress got 12 seats. Similarly, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party got 4 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) got 4, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal got one seat and CPN (US) got one seat.

Likewise, in Madhes Province, Nepali Congress won nine seats, CPN (UML) won eight seats while Janamat Party and Janata Samajwadi got seven seats each.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) got four seats, CPN (US) got three while Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal Federal Socialist Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party got one seat each.

In Bagmati Province, CPN (UML) won 14 seats while Nepali Congress won 12 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) got seven seats and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party got six seats.

 In Gandaki, CPN (UML) won 10 seats while Nepali Congress got 9 seats. The CPN (Maoist Center) got three seats and Hamro Nepali Party got two seats.

Furthermore, in Lumbini Province, CPN (UML) won 11 seats, Nepali Congress won 10 seats, CPN (Maoist Center) got four seats, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party got two, Janarik Unmukti Party and Janamat Party got two seats each.

In Karnali Province, CPN (UML) won and Nepali Congress won five seats each while

CPN (Maoist Center) won four seats. Similarly, CPN (US) and RPP got one seat each.

 Likewise, in Sudur Paschim Province, CPN (UML)  and Nepali Congress won seven seats each while CPN (Maoist Center) won three, and Nagarik Unmukti party got two seats. CPN (US) and RPP got one seat each.  (RSS)
