A Secretariat meeting of CPN (UML) scheduled for Friday to pick proportional representation (PR) lawmakers has been postponed at the eleventh hour.
The UML has won 44 first-past-the-post seats in the House of Representatives and 34 seats under PR category.
The UML was to hold Secretariat meeting to select the names to be sent to the PR seats.
UML Deputy Chief of Publicity Department Bishnu Rijal said the meeting to be held at Chairman KP Sharma Oli's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, at 1 pm has been postponed.
The party planned to discuss contemporary political issues, including selection of PR lawmakers, and review the election in the secretariat meeting.
The Election Commission wrote to the political parties on Wednesday, directing them to send the names of PR lawmakers.
