The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to elect Pashupati Shumsher Rana as proportional representation (PR) lawmaker to the House of Representatives (HoR).

The party's Central Working Committee meeting held at the party central office on Saturday made a decision to this effect.

The RPP has won seven seats in the HoR through PR system. Among the seven seats, the party has to elect five female lawmakers and two male lawmakers.

Of the two male lawmakers, Rana is the party's first preference.

RPP Publicity Department Chief Mohan Shrestha said party Chairman Rajendra Lingden was authorized to finalize the second male PR lawmaker.
