A meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi is set to be held in New York.
The meeting between Oli and Modi is scheduled to be held on Sunday at 5:30 pm (September 22), according to the local time.
Nepal had proposed that time for the Oli-Modi meeting last week.
However, the Indian side had not answered Nepal's proposal at the time since Modi's US visit schedule was not fixed by that time.
"The time of the meeting was proposed in consultation with the Indian side", a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Nepalkhabar on Saturday morning.
Prime Minister Modi has left for New York this morning.
Modi flew to Washington, USA to participate in the summit of the leaders of the QUAD countries, including the USA, Australia, Japan and India.
After the meeting, Modi is scheduled to reach New York on Sunday evening.
After reaching New York, there will be a meeting between the Prime Ministers of Nepal and India at 5:30 pm ( local time).
Earlier, there were doubts about Modi's visit to New York as External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar would lead the Indian delegation to the 79th UN General Assembly.
