Nepal has lost to home team Canada for the second time in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.
This is the third loss for Nepal in the Triangular ODI Series underway in Canada.
In the match held on Sunday night, Nepal lost to Canada by 5 wickets. In the first match of the series, Nepal lost to Canada by 103 runs. Similarly, in the second match, Nepal lost to Oman by 1 wicket.
Chasing the 182-run target given by Nepal, Canada reached it losing 5 wickets in 42 overs.
Navneet Dhaliwal topped the score with 87 runs including 8 fours and 4 sixes off 113 deliveries followed by Pargat Singh with 64 runs while Harsh Thaker contributed 13 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the batting side, Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets while Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi and Gulsan Jha grabbed 1 wicket each for Nepal.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City, Nepal notched up 181 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Sandeep Lamichhane scored the highest with 49 runs followed by Gulsan Jha with 34 runs while Karan KC contributed 24 runs.
In reply, Kaleem Sana grabbed the highest 3 wickets while Dilon Heyliger and Harsh Thaker took 2 wickets each for Canada.
