Vehicles line up at Nagdhunga as rescue work continues at Jhyaplekhola

The rescue work for vehicles and its passengers buried in the landslide at Jhyaplekhola near Nagdhunga, the main entry point to Kathmandu, is underway.

While three vehicles were found fully buried, some sustained partial damages.

The bodies of 14 people were retrieved on Saturday. Similarly, the bodies of twenty one people have been recovered today. The bus which was reported to be missing after it departed from Gorkha has also been found in this landslide.

According to locals, some eateries were in operation in this place. The condition of the eatery operators is still unknown.  

While an excavator is being used to remove the debris brought by the landslide causing traffic congestion, there is a large number of vehicles are queuing up on the road.
