Nepal registered a first win in the ICC T20I Tri-Series by defeating Oman by 37 runs in its second match held on Sunday night.
Nepal bowled out Oman for 139 runs while the latter was chasing the 177-run target with five balls to spare.
Shoaib Khan's 45-run score became the highest for Oman. He hit four fours and two sixes off 39 balls. Rafiullah hit 33 runs followed by Kaleemullah with 17 runs while Pratik Athavale contributed 15 runs.
To restrict Oman from reaching the target, Karan KC grabbed three wickets followed by Gulsan Jha and Kushal Bhurtel with two wickets each while Rijan Dhakal, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane took one wicket each.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City, Nepal notched up 176 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Gulsan Jha topped the score with 40 runs followed by Kushal Malla with 30 runs while Anil Sah and Aasif Sheikh grabbed 27 runs each.
In reply, Aqib Ilyas took three wickets for Oman while Shakeel Ahmed, Fayyaz Butt, and Zeeshan Maqsood claimed one wicket each.
In its first match, Nepal had lost to Canada by 14 runs.
