China provides relief materials to Nepal flood victims

China has provided relief assistance to flood victims of Nepal amidst a ceremony on Friday.

The International Department of CPC Central Committee of China on Friday distributed relief materials to 60 flood-affected households at Shree Mahendra Saraswati Sewa Basic School in Kathmandu this afternoon.

Following the distribution program, the CPC Central Committee in its press note, said, "During the event, emergency family kits and food packages were distributed to 60 affected households."

Mr. Wang Xin, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, representatives from major political parties in Nepal, staff from the China Foundation for Rural Development Nepal office and partners, as well as local residents and government officials were present in the event.

Incessant rainfall that started on September 26 and 27 wreaked havoc in Nepal, killing more than 200 leaving dozens missing and injured.
