CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has alleged that the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA) held on November 20  were conducted at the behest of the foreign power.

Addressing an office-bearers’ meeting of the Press Center Nepal organized in Lalitpur on Sunday, Prachanda accused the international power of orchestrating the general elections held recently.

“I have nothing to say how many votes we received in the past elections. These were all conducted by the Nepali people. The case is different this time. The general elections held recently were conducted at the behest of the international power,” said Prachanda smelling a rat on the foreign hand behind his party’s poor performance in the election results.

He further said that it will be a serious mistake if the party rank and file does not self-realize and reflect on the outcome of the elections and move ahead accordingly.

“Coming days would be even harder if we do not analyze the international political scenario and self-realize over the results of the elections held recently,” said Prachanda.

Meanwhile, he accused his own party cadres and leaders of betraying the party by voting for the other parties in the elections.

“There have been information that our own party cadres and leaders cast votes for Janamat Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party, CPN (UML), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party,” said Prachanda
