Speaking at a rally program, Rajananda Mandabya, the founder of the national flag day campaign, said National Flag Day is being observed on Poush 1 every year to mark the day when the national flag was acknowledged and accpeted by the UN on December 16, 1962 (Poush 1, 2019).
