CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to support him in becoming the Prime Minister.
Chair Prachanda sought the Prime Minister’s post on behalf of the ruling coaliton with Deuba at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Saturday morning.
According to a source close to Prachanda, they held a brief meeting this morning during which Prachanda sought Deuba’s help in becoming the PM.
Both Deuba and Prachanda are preparing to be the next PM as major parties are mulling over new government formation.
Deuba told Prachanda that they would discuss his proposal and proceed ahead.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson of Nepali Congress Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said though Prachanda’s claim was natural, it would be more appropriate for the NC to claim the premiership as it emerged as the largest party from the election.
