The country is witnessing a partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system.
The weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country and mainly fair in the rest of the country, currently.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said light rainfall is occurring in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
Similarly, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces today, according to the weather bulletin issued by the Division at 6 am on Saturday.
The Division has also forecast light rain amidst thunderstorms in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province this afternoon.
"As the rain, snowfall, and thunderstorms may partially impact daily life, health, road, and air transportation, it is requested to take necessary precautions to avoid any potential effects," reads the weather bulletin issued by the Division.
