CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been elected as the leader of the Parliamentary Party (PP) unopposed.
Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel proposed UML Chairman Oli as the PP leader. In the PP meeting held at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi this afternoon, Oli was elected as the PP leader of the UML after his candidacy was seconded by Subas Nembang, another vice chairman of the party.
UML organized a special program for the newly elected lawmakers elected through the general elections held on November 20.
Addressing the gathering of the lawmakers, UML Chair Oli congratulated the newly elected lawmakers and thanked the voters for giving the party popular votes under the proportional representation (PR) category.
