Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Elisabeth von Capeller has appreciated Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metroplitan City, describing him as a strong personality.
Posting a twitter message on Wednesday following a courtesy call on Kathmandu metropolis mayor Shah, Ambassador Capeller said, "I was delighted to Meet Mr. Balen Shah. A strong personality with a lot of enthusiasm to change Kathmandu for the better.”
Shah had been elected as the Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City receiving popular votes in the local level elections held in May.
Independent candidate had defeated Srijana Singh of the democratic-left alliance by securing 61,767 votes. Singh had garnered 38,341 votes.
