New lawmakers sworn-in

Newly elected lawmakers of the House of Representatives have taken oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.

Octogenarian lawmaker Pashupati Shumsher Rana administered the oath of office and secrecy to lawmakers elected through first-past-the-post and proportional representation categories at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor.

During the oath-taking, lawmakers took the oath in 14 different mother tongues, including Nepali, Sanskrit and Maithili.
