Two paragliders fall into Phewa Lake; 4 rescued

The Armed Police Force (APF) has successfully rescued four individuals who were involved in an accident while landing their paragliders in Pokhara.

According to Deputy Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, Shailendra Thapa, two paragliders that took off from Pokhara Metropolitan City-18, Torepani, in Kaski district, went out of control while landing and crashed into the middle of Phewa Lake.

Immediately after the accident, the security personnel mobilized from the Armed Police Force, Kalika Battalion, Kaski, and the Phewa Rescue Tower safely rescued them by around 3 PM, Thapa informed.

Among those rescued are 41-year-old Aklesh Yadav and 35-year-old Chandan Kumar Patel, who reported their address as Varanasi, India, along with 30-year-old pilot Milan Shah from Agni Paragliding and 28-year-old pilot Bishwas Adhikari from Happy Fly Paragliding.
