A meeting of the ruling coalition has started at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar a little while ago.

Top leaders of the coalition have gathered to discuss the formation of the new government and power sharing on the eve of government formation deadline given by the President.

Prime Minister's Press Adviser Govinda Pariyara told Nepalkhabar that all the top leaders had reached Baluwatar to attend the meeting.

Though the ruling parties are striving to command majority and stake claim to the post of Prime Minister, the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Center) have expressed differences over the leadership of the new government.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has given the political parties represented in the House of Representatives until 5 pm on Sunday to form a new government.
