CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the country may go to mid-term elections.

Addressing a program organized by the UML Pyuthan-Kathmandu Contact Forum on Saturday, Chair Oli said that if the parties do not make timely moves, the country might head towards the mid-term elections again.

"There is a possibility that the country might head to mid-term polls if others don't take steps in time and only keep focusing on themselves," said Oli, "You can't say no such possibility exists."

At the same event, he also argued that Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's desire to become the Prime Minister had ended as he failed to make timely decisions.

"It seems Prachanda's chances of being Prime Minister are over because he did not make decisions on time," Oli said.

The UML also reiterated that the country had become weak due to selfishness on part of the ruling parties.
