A man has died from a gunshot in Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya rural municipality of Dhanusha.
An unidentified group shot Dhanuk Das of ward no 2 of the rural municipality to death.
Police said Das, 40, who was injured by bullets, died on the way to hospital for want of treatment.
A bullet had hit Dhanuk's left arm.
According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, investigation is underway to ascertain the persons involved in the shooting and reasons behind it.
