A husband and his wife have jumped off a cliff in Chitwan district.
Among them, the wife died on the spot while the husband sustained critical injuries, the police said.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Kumari Praja of Rapti Municipality-4, Chitwan.
According to DSP Rabindra Khanal of District Police Office, Kumari jumped off the cliff into a khahare rivulet nearby her house following a spat with her husband. No sooner the wife jumped off the cliff, her husband Leela Bahadur also jumped off the cliff.
Kumari died on the spot while Leela Bahadur sustained critical injuries, said DSP Khanal.
He is undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. Police said they are investigating the case.
