Deuba, Prachanda holding 'one-on-one' talks before coalition meet commences

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' are to hold 'one-on-one' talks prior to the meeting of the ruling coalition today.

The meeting of the ruling coalition is starting at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar in a while. But before that, there is going to be 'one-on-one' talks between Prachanda and Deuba.

According to sources, Prachanda has already reached Baluwatar to hold decisive talks with the NC president. 

"First, Prachanda and Deuba will hold one-on-one talks," a source told Nepalkhabar, adding, "After that, three leaders, including Madhav Kumar Nepal, chair of the CPN (United Socialist) Party, will hold another round of talks."

After Deuba, Prachanda and Nepal hold talks among each other, then only the coalition will begin.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has given time till 5 pm today (Sunday) to stake claim for government formation.

Leaders are striving to reach consensus on the leadership of the next government by 5 pm today.

NC leaders held internal talks at Baluwatar this morning before the Maoist chair's arrival.
