Man strangles his wife to death in Lalitpur; murder-accused held

A man has strangled his wife to death in Lalitpur. The police have arrested the murdered-accused and are initiating a legal action against him.

The accused, 46-year-old Niroj Kumar Khadgi, originally from Chandragiri Municipality-8, Thanakot, Kathmandu, had been currently residing in Godavari Municipality-14, Thaiba, Lalitpur.

According to a preliminary investigation of the police, Noroj strangled his 46-year-old wife, Susmita Khadgi, to death.

Susmita's body was found in the toilet of their rented home on Sunday morning, the Lalitpur Police Circle said.

Susmita's body has been kept at Patan Hospital for postmortem.

Police stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, with initial findings suggesting that the crime occurred due to a domestic dispute.
