An eight-member Cabinet has been formed under the coordination of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who was sworn-in just a little while ago.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office to eight ministers, including PM and three Deputy Prime Ministers (DPMs), at Sheetal Niwas this evening.

In the new Cabinet, CPN (UML) Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel has become the Finance Minister as well as a DPM.

Similarly, Senior Vice Chair of CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha has become the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and DPM.

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has also become the Home Minister and DPM.

Similarly, UML lawmakers Jwala Kumari Sah, Damodar Bhandari and Rajendra Kumar Rai have also been inducted into the Council of Ministers.

Similarly, Dr. Abdul Khan, Janamat Party lawmaker elected through proportional representative (PR) category, has also become a minister. It has been agreed to give the Ministry of Industry to Janamat Party.

However, apart from the three DPMs, four other ministers took oath as ministers without portfolios.

The newfound seven-party ruling alliance has prepared to appoint ministers to more ministries in the upcoming few days.
