Children have clashed with security personnel at the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center in Biratnagar. A large number of police personnel have been deployed to bring the situation under control.

According to the police, the dispute began when the police started checking on suspicions that some children in the correction center were consuming tobacco. The dispute gradually escalated into a clash, as informed by Gajendra Prasad Dhakal, the chief of the rehabilitation center.

During the clash, one police officer was injured due to an attack by the children. The injured officer has been taken to Koshi Hospital for treatment. However, other children are still in the rehabilitation center, making noise.

To bring the security situation under control, the heads of all four security agencies have arrived at the incident site. Additional police forces have been deployed as tensions rose in the children's rehabilitation center.

Currently, 249 individuals aged between 12 to 32 are kept in the correction center, despite its capacity being only 50. Some children appear to have escaped from the correction center during the class.

Indradev Yadav, the Chief District Officer of Morang, has informed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
