A minor girl has died and two others went missing when a passenger auto rickshaw fell into the Hopari rivulet in Darchula district.
The deceased has been identified as 11-year-old girl. Her dead body has been recovered while the two others are still missing, said Police Inspector Chhatra Bahadur Rawat of the District Police Office, Darchula.
The search operation for the missing people are ongoing, said Rawat.
The ill-fated auto-rickshaw, M 1 Kha 1148, went out of control and plunged into the Hoperi rivulet when it was heading to Gokuleshwar from Naugad at Saukebazaar in Naugad Rural Municipality-5, Darchula.
Maniram Bhul of Naugad-6 and his son Ayush Bhul sustained injuries in the accident. A total of five people were traveling in the auto-rickshaw, the police said.
