CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has called on CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at the latter's private residence in Khumaltar today (Wednesday).
The UML chair has reached Prime Minister Prachanda's private residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur, after a gap of two years.
The two leaders were not on speaking terms for the past two years since the collapse of the then Nepal Communist Party, which was formed through the merger of the Maoist Center and the UML.
However, after the Maoist Center chair quit the Nepali Congress-led five-party alliance on Sunday and joined the UML-led seven-party alliance, he was appointed the Prime Minister the same day, with the support of 169 MPs.
Earlier on Sunday, Prachanda had reached Oli's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, where the new seven-party alliance that back Prachanda for PM was formed.
UML Chair Oli is discussing cabinet expansion and future strategy of the newfound alliance with Prime Minister Prachanda in Khumaltar at this moment.
Of late, Oli is working to strengthen and proceed the new seven-party alliance.
