Protestors take control of main governing bodies of the state

Protestors have taken control of almost all govering organs of the state. Within 48 hours, they have seized the main governing institutions of the state.

The protestors set fire to Singha Durbar after taking control of it in Kathmandu and the Parliament building in New Baneshwar. They have completely seized both facilities.

The protestors have also set fire to the Supreme Court, one of the main bodies of the state. They have caused a massive damage to the building of the apex court.

After 20 youths died in the protests that started on Monday, the youths, who seemed enraged since Tuesday morning, first set fire to and vandalized the private residences of leaders from the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), and Maoist Center.

In the process, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba were seriously attacked. Deuba's condition is said to be critical.
Similarly, agitating protestors entered the Parliament building and set a fire to it. From there, they proceeded toward Singha Durbar. At Singha Durbar, they entered the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and vandalized it.

Even after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned, the protests have not gone unabated. Meanwhile, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah has publicly appealed to the enraged public for maximum restraint.

The protestors have also attacked media houses. By the time this news was prepared, the protestors had also set fire to Sheetal Niwas, the Office of the President.
