Tribhuvan Int'l Airport closed till noon citing adverse situation

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will remain closed till noon today, citing the adverse situation.

Similarly, the leading air service, Buddha Air, informed that it could not conduct flights till midday today. It issued a notice and apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customers.

The customers deprived of flights despite ticket booking would be provided ticket fee back.

However, the Air Service Operators' Association has said it was committed to cater service to the people despite adverse situation. Issuing a press note, Association's Chairperson Manoj Karki urged the companies affiliated to the Association to be ready for the service to the people at such need.

It also expressed deep grief over the loss of lives during the protest on Monday and extended condolences to the bereaved family members and speedy recovery to the injured.
