A meeting of the ruling alliance has started at Baluwatar for the first time following the appointment of Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' as the prime minister of Nepal.
Prime Minister Prachanda, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane are participating in the meeting.
The meeting is dwelling on the allocation of ministerial portfolios among the coalition parties. Similarly, the meeting will also discuss the inclusion of the CPN (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal in the government, the sources have said.
A total of 169 lawmakers from seven political parties including three independents have supported to elect Prachanda the prime minister.
Posting a twitter message, Prime Minister Prachanda's secretariat informed that the meeting is taking place at Baluwatar.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had reached Khumaltar, the residence of Prachanda, before the latter moved to Baluwatar yesterday.
Prachanda and Oli discussed the latest political developments for around two and a half hours at Khumaltar.
