Ambassador Wagle calls on Crown Prince of Bahrain

Ambassador of Nepal to Bahrain Tirtha Raj Wagle paid a courtesy call on Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain at Riffa Palace in Manama on December 27.

During the call on, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed Ambassador Wagle to the Kingdom and wished him success in his diplomatic duties.

Ambassador Wagle conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the Prime Minister of Nepal and the people of Nepal to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the friendly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain for continued progress and prosperity, according to a press release issued by Embassy of Nepal in Bahrain.

Both the sides reviewed the overall bilateral ties while underscoring the role of Nepali people working in the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting people-to-people relations and their contribution to the Kingdom's progress, according to the embassy.

"Views were exchanged on further enhancing cooperation in areas of common interest including productive employment, air connectivity, trade and tourism between Nepal and the Kingdom of Bahrain," the embassy said.

The ambassador also briefed the Crown Prince about the recent political development in Nepal.

He also briefed about socio-economic condition and business and tourism opportunities in Nepal. Moreover, the ambassador commended inclusive policies introduced by Bahrain.

He also commended the Bahraini government's policy of promoting peaceful co-existence, dialogue and international cooperation as well as inspirational development.

Ambassador Wangle expressed his gratitude for providing the opportunity to meet the Crown Prince and reiterated Nepal's commitment to work toward consolidating and strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries.
