Independent MP Sah announces Aam Janata Party

Independent MP Prabhu Sah announces Aam Janata Party in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Independent lawmaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Prabhu Sah has announced a new political party.

Sah, who was elected as a member of the parliament (MP) from Rautahat-3, made public the new party called Aam Janata Party amidst a ceremony in Kathmandu.

Sah, who had filed his candidacy as an independent candidate after rejecting tickets offered by CPN (UML), had been backed by Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center).

Sah announced the establishment of the new party by organizing a press meet at Crystal Party Palace in Kathmandu.

A 51-member ad-hoc committee has been formed including Kiran Sah, an independent lawmaker from Rautahat-2.

A meeting of the central ad-hoc committee of the new party held today appointed provincial and departmental chiefs, informed Sah.
