Over one hundred tourists, representing more than 15 countries, enthusiastically participated in the Bhai Tika festival organized in Pokhara. According to Laxman Subedi, President of the Hotel Association Pokhara, Nepal, the notable participation, which included visitors from the US, UK, China, India, Germany, Australia, and the Netherlands, made this year's event a great success. The festival was held to promote tourism in Pokhara and Nepal while celebrating and preserving Nepali culture.

The event, hosted at Hotel Pawana in Lakeside, saw girls from the Rainbow Children Home applying the traditional Saptarangi Tika (seven-colored tika) to the international visitors. Tourists were also presented with Nepali Dhaka caps and scarves as gifts. They enjoyed authentic Nepali delicacies like Sel Roti and participated joyfully in the traditional Deusi Bhailo cultural programs. Tourists expressed delight in the unique experience, with one Australian visitor, Annie, stating that she was very happy to receive the tika and deeply impressed by Nepal's rich culture and hospitality.
The main objective of the festival was to use cultural events to promote tourism and revitalize the sector, which has recently faced challenges due to the country's prevailing circumstances. The organizers believe the festival will help bring tourism back to its normal pace. The event concluded successfully, with the coordinator, Ganesh Raj Pahari, thanking all attendees and ensuring that participating tourists were informed about the significance of Tihar, Deepawali, and the five days of the festival.
