Charge d’ Affaires (CDA) at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Wang Xin called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, today (Friday).
On the ocassion, CDA Xin handed over a congratulatory message addressed to PM Prachanda by Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang.
In his letter to Prime Minister Prachanda, Li has said that China and Nepal, as traditional friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, have always respected each other, treated each other as equals and sincerely helped each other. Li also said that China is ready to extend continued support to Nepal in its socio-economic endevours.
The Chinese PM also extended best wishes for the success of the government led by Prachanda.
"In recent years, China-Nepal relations have maintained a healthy and stable development, and practical cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, benefitting both countries and the region at large," read the letter sent by the Chinese premier.
Li said that he is ready to work with Prime Minister Prachanda to push forward the two countries' strategic partnership of cooperation featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity and bring more benefits to the two peoples, according China's state-run Xinhua News Agency.
The two leaders of neighboring countries exchanged views on China-Nepal relations and issues of mutual interest, the Chinese Embassy said.
