A vehicular movement on Kanti highway (Hetauda-Kathmandu), which had been obstructed due to rockslide, has come into operation.
The blocked road resumed following the removal of the debris brought by the landslide, said Makwanpur District Police Office (DPO).
A large boulder that fell around 7 am on Sunday morning at Ghattepakha of Bakaiya municipality-11 blocked the roadway, disrupting traffic.
Spokesperson at District Police Office, Makwanpur, Pushkar Bogati, informed that vehicles started moving on the road a while ago.
Meanwhile, the Kulekhani–Sisneri–Dakshinkali road is yet to resume. The landslide occurred at Jyamire of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3 caused the blockage since Saturday evening.
Bogati further said with the obstruction of roadways linking Kathmandu to Hetauda, the passengers are stranded along the roadway.
The authorities concerned are working to clear the obstruction. Police have urged all concerned to use alternative routes till roads are maintained.
