India's Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that a Gen Z movement like the one in Nepal is not possible in his country.
Amidst the election atmosphere growing in Bihar, Shah asserted in an interview that a youth (Gen Z) revolt like the one that occurred in Nepal recently will not happen in India.
"This is because the roots of democracy in India are very strong and deep," said Shah, "India is not Nepal. Our democratic roots are very strong. I do not think a Gen Z protest is possible here."
He also claimed that India's youth work hard and contribute to the country's development.
The Gen Z movement against corruption in Nepal on September 8 and 9 led to the downfall of KP Sharma Oli's government and the formation of an interim government. Furthermore, the House of Representatives was dissolved, and elections have been scheduled for the upcoming March 5, next year.
