The Chandragiri Cable Car and Resort is set to resume operation from tomorrow morning (Saturday). Chandragiri Hills’ services had been temporarily shut down 60 days ago.
With the resumption of the cable car service, it will be easier for devotees to visit the Bhalewshar Mahadev Temple, Nepal's top tourist and religious destination.
The services of Chandragiri Cable Car and Resort were halted after the cable car's bottom station was completely damaged due to vandalism during the Gen Z upring on September 9, 2025).

Chandragiri Hills roped in senior technicians from the cable car manufacturing company, Doppelmayr of Austria, who completed necessary repairs, safety checks, and additional inspection works, and has now brought the service back into operation, ensuring a safe and smooth service for passengers.
Before the closure, approximately 2,000 devotees and tourists had been availing the service daily through the Chandragiri Cable Car.
