Two killed in Lamjung jeep accident

Two persons have died in a jeep accident in Lamjung.

The Bolero jeep (Ba 8 Cha 3731) heading to Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-6, Naiche loaded with cement for Hidikhola Hydropower from Khudi met with the accident last night, informed the District Police Office, Lamjung.

The deceased have been identified as jeep driver Binod Khadka, 30, and Paras Khadka, 25, of Dolakha, Melung-4, confirmed Information Officer at the District Police Office, Gyanendra Bahadur Kshetry.

Police had rescued the both who were critically injured when the jeep fell some 800 meters off the road after losing its control.

The injured had breathed their last while being treated at the Province Hospital Besisahar, Lamjung in Besisahar Municipality-8, he told RSS.

Umesh Limbu, 20, of Sidingwa Rural Municipality-4 in Taplejung who was also onboard the jeep however was found unhurt, the police said.
