Deputy Speaker Babita Kumari Raut has reversed the decision of Speaker Ramchandra Mandal to dismiss five lawmakers of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly.
Speaker Mandal on Thursday relieved five lawmakers of their posts after they lodged an impeachment against him in the Province Assembly.
Mandal had dismissed four lawmakers from Janata Samajbadi Party and one from Nagarik Unmukti Party from the posts on the ground of abstaining from the meeting continuously for 10 times, according to the notice.
Issuing another notice, Deputy Speaker Raut reversed the Speaker's decision arguing that the latter's decision can no longer be valid as he has already been impeached on the ground of deviating from his duties and responsibilities.
Speaker Mandal was elected from CPN (UML) while Raut was from Janamat Party led by CK Raut.
