Kehar & The Lunga to perform live nationwide to promote film 'Kumari'

A series of live musical concerts are being organized in various parts of the country targeting 'Kumari', a love-story Nepali film, which is set to be released on February 6.

The film making teams are organizing such kinds of events at a time when the film release date is inching closer.

According to the film making team, a series of converts are being held in Dang, Pokhara, Kathmandu, Nepalgunj, Chitwan and Dharan from January 15 to February 6. Playback singer Kehar Sing Limbu and his band Kehar & The Lunga will perform live in all these concerts, the film company said.

This musical band is popular among the youth. Two songs, 'Kata Chhau….' And 'Timi Bina…' have been public and won the hearts of many music enthusiasts.

Directed by Dinesh Raut, the director of love story films such as 'I Am Sorry', 'November Rain' and 'Classic', 'Kumari' is being released around the time of 'Valentine Day'. Hence, this film has been designed targeting youth.

The film stars debutants Abhishek Khadka and Akriti Rajbhandari in lead roles, supported by an ensemble cast including Ghanashyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akhanksha Karki, and Madhu Khadka. The lineup also features Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane, and Manasha Sharma.

Produced in collaboration between Binish Entertainment and A Picture Frame, the film features Mahendra Adhikari as the lead producer and Kedar Bhusal as co-producer.
