Gold and silver prices continue to increase

The price of gold and silver has seen a notable rise in the domestic market. The price of the two precious metals has seen a sharp rise in a period of three days.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of gold is determined at Rs 276,500 per tola (11.66 grams) while that of the same quantity of silver is fixed at Rs 5,340.

The price of hallmark gold, which was traded at Rs 270,600 per tola on Sunday, increased by Rs 4,100 per tola to reach Rs 274,700 on Monday.

Similarly, the price of silver has also increased. One tola of silver, which was bought and sold at Rs 4,990 per tola on Sunday, was traded at Rs 5,195 yesterday.

Bullion traders have stated that the price of gold and silver in the local market has increased due to fluctuations in the US dollar and global economic uncertainty.

According to international media, today in the international market, one ounce of gold is being traded at 4,588 and the same amount of silver at 84 US dollars.
