CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has reached prime minister’s official residence Baluwatar on Tuesday evening.
Oli has reached Baluwatar to discuss contemporary political issues, newly-formed ruling alliance, the effective of the government and the minimum common program, sources have said.
The cabinet has not been expanded even two weeks after the appointment of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The four ministers who took the oath of office and secrecy simultaneously with the prime minister have not received the ministerial portfolios yet.
Against this political milieu, Oli has reached Baluwatar to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dahal.
Nepal Samajbadi Party Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai held a meeting with Oli at Balkot and with Dahal at Baluwatar on Monday.
The two leaders discussed about the effectiveness of the government and minimum common programme, among others.
It may be noted that a meeting of the ruling parties held last Thursday had formed a taskforce under the leadership of Oli for charting out minimum common programme of the government.
PM Dahal is taking vote of confidence from the House of Representatives (HoR) on January 10. He was appointed to the post of the premier on December 25 with support from 169 parliamentary members of different political parties.
The Prime Minister appointed as per the Article 76 (2) of the Constitution should take vote of confidence from the HoR in line with the Article 76 (4).
