CPN (United Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his party will make a decision on lending support to the government by January 10 and till then let the matter remain in suspense.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is set to take a vote of confidence on January 10.
Addressing a program of Youth Association Nepal in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Chairman Nepal said that he was in no rush to talk about the government as of now.
"What is the hurry? The vote of confidence is being taken on January 10. Won't it suffice if we decide on that day?" said Nepal, adding, "Until then, let the matter be in suspense."
He said that they are not in a hurry to make a decision as the political situation was not clear.
"The political scenario has to be clear, we do not know what kind of policy the government will take," he said. "They will tell you to support Prachanda by looking at his face, but things do not work like that. There are lots of things to be considered."
Chair Nepal said that since the ruling parties did not consult his party when forming the government and making policies and programs, there was no rush to join the government.
