UML and NCP file candidacies for Parliamentary Committee

CPN (UML) and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) have also filed their candidacies for the chairmanship of the joint committees under the federal parliament and the thematic committees of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Lawmakers on Thursday from both parties reached the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar and registered their candidacies for the chairpersons of the two committees.

Guru Baral from UML has filed his candidacy for the chairperson of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives. Baral's proposer is Nepali Congress MP Sita Thapaliya (Urmila).

Similarly, Madan Kumari Shah (Garima) from NCP has filed her candidacy for the chairperson of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the state Committee of the federal parliament. Her proposer is Janak Raj Joshi and her seconder is Pushpa Raj Kandel.
