A meeting of the Council of Ministers has approved the address to be delivered by President Ram Chandra Paudel to the joint sitting of both houses of the Federal Parliament today.
The cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar approved the President's address to the House, informed government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel, who is also the Minister for Education.
The Federal Parliament's budget session is beginning today. A joint session of the Federal Parliament will begin at 4:00 pm today.
As per the agenda shared by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to table the government's policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year at the joint meeting of the both the houses.
Accordingly, members of the Federal Parliament have been requested to be seated at the House of Representatives Chamber (Multipurpose Hall), Singha Durbar, for the joint meeting before 3:45 pm, according to the notice issued by the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Prior to this, the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are scheduled to meet separately at 2:00 pm. Among other businesses, various ordinances recently introduced by the government through the President are scheduled to be presented in the House for endorsement.
