The District Court, Kathmandu, has ordered the release of construction entrepreneur Bikram Pandey on a bail of 400,000 rupees.
A single bench of District Court, Kathmandu, on Thursday, headed by Judge Churaman Khadka, sought bail from Pandey. Pandey is also the senior vice-chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
He had been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on April 24. He is accused of hacking the public procurement system and manipulating contract details.
The police have named 22 individuals as defendants in the case. Of them, 12 have been arrested.
The District Court ordered the release of 11 people, including Pandey, on bail.
