Ruling coalition will safeguard constitution: UML Chair Oli

CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the existing ruling coalition will not go in favor of regression.

Addressing the first meeting of the newly elected House of Representatives (HoR), Oli said, “The current ruling coalition will not go for regression. This new alliance will always stand with nationality, sovereignty and safeguard the constitution.”

Defending his past move to dissolve the parliament twice, he referred to the example of the United Kingdom.

“Dissolution of the House of Representatives is not a regression,” Oli tried to justify it by referring to the examples of the UK.  

“In the country where the parliament originated from recently witnessed a parliament dissolution.”
