CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the dissolution of the parliament is unconstitutional.

Chairman Nepal said to this effect in course of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', taking the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives this afternoon.

"It was dissolved in 2051 B.S. during the premiership of Girija Prasad Koirala, then during the stint of Sher Bahadur Deuba as the prime minister in 2058 BS.

However, parliament dissolution cannot be dubbed right as it is unconstitutional, Nepal said. "The move has to be self-criticized, rather than to be boasted", he asserted, targeting CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli who dissolved the parliamet twice.

He also said it is already mentioned in our constitution that Parliament cannot be dissolved. "Parliament cannot be dissolved under any pretext until there is an option to form another government.
