Two Nepali youths detained for flying drone at Nepal-China border

Chinese security personnel have taken two Nepali youths into custody at the Nepal-China border. 

Manoj Prajapati of Dhapasi, Kathmandu, and Sudip Thapa Magar of Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur, were taken into custody by Chinese border security personnel for flying a drone on the border, the District Police Office (DPO), Singhupalchowk said. 

The security personnel then handed the arrested over to the Chinese police.

They entered from Dolakha and were arrested while flying a drone two days ago. Preparations are underway to release them, who are under the control of the Chinese territory of Nyalam County.

Since the county is close to Sindhupalchowk, preparations are underway to hand them over to the District Police, Sindhupalchowk through the Tatopani customs checkpoint.

The Chinese police are preparing to release Prajapati and Thapa after they admitted that they had flown a drone on the border without their knowledge, Sindhupalchowk police said.
