Two Nepali youths have died in a car accident in India.
Two Nepalis were killed when an Indian car hit them on the Bidora-Majhola road under the Nanakmatta area of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand.
The deceased have been identified as Rahul Chadaro of Dodhara Chandni Municipality-8 in Kanchanpur and Kamal Khadka of Dodhara Chandni Municipality-9.
Both of them were returning home from the Indian capital Delhi on a motorcycle.
According to Indian media outlet Amar Ujala, a speeding car and a motorcycle collided on Friday.
Both the injured in the accident were taken to the Community Health Center Sitarganj for treatment.
Both the seriously injured were declared dead by the doctors.
The body has been kept in the hospital. The relatives of the deceased youth are going to India on Saturday to collect the body.
The accident area is near Dodhara Chandni.
"We reached there yesterday with our relatives after receiving the news of the accident. The body has been kept for postmortem," said Gopilal Kandel, chairman of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-9, "the driver of the car is absconding. We will register an FIR with the police."
According to him, preparations are underway to go there with the relatives of the deceased.
The body will be brought on Saturday itself after the postmortem, said Om Prakash Rokaya, chairman of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-8.
The deceased youth worked in Delhi, India. Both of them lost their lives in the accident while returning home on a motorcycle.
