Nepali Ambassador to Malaysia Dilli Raj Paudel has held high-level meetings with state actors in Malaysia.
Ambassador Paudel held separate meetings with Home Minister of Malaysia Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Minister for Human Resources V. Sivakumar.
In the meetings, Ambassador Paudel and ministers of Malaysia discussed mutual interests, bilateral ties between the two countries.
According to the Embassy in Malaysia, the interlocutors dwelled on how to increase qualitative as well as quantitative growth of job opportunities in Malaysia -- an attractive labor destination for Nepali youth.
The officials of both the countries discussed promoting mutual interests and benefits at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels on the occasion as well as the upcoming Nepal visit of the Home Minister of Malaysia on the occasion.
According to sources, Malaysia's Home Minister Ismail along with the representatives from the Ministry of Human Resources of the country will visit the South Asian country in the first week of February.
The Malaysia government has announced that it will recruit 500,000 workers. The soon-to-be-held delegation by Home Minister Ismail will take the first-hand information about the situation of Nepali workers.
